I deployed last January... and I went home for my "mid-tour" leave on Thanksgiving... so I was celibate for 11 horrible months.

ALTHOUGH, when I did go home, I probably had the wildest sex of my life. 11 months of frustration built up meant we did it... a lot... I mean.... A LOT.

Nope.

I jacked off a lot. Or I would have went totally insane.

GOOD! I had written in my post that you better not post during your too short stay in the US. Guess after 11 months it was almost like conjugal visit sex. BTW, can she still walk?

No, celibacy does NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT WORK. This applies even for women. Last week I even heard from my sister that her doctor told her that lack of physical relationships may give you severe headaches.

I even did an experiment about it, and is true, seriously. Why do you think so many teens are always tense (not to advocate teen sex)? Why do you think some long time married couples seem so tense?

To put in bluntly, YOU (GOOD) NEED SEX to keep your head clear.

Doesn't that depend on WHAT you expect from celebacy? If the only thing you expect from it, is to not have sex, and you succeed, it works fine, doesn't it?  Wink So it depends on how you expect it to work. Despite of headaches (which is caused by something else, but let's leave it at that  Silly), it has worked fine for me, and I don't regret it at all. In fact, I'll keep it this way as I don't have a desire for having sex with strangers (a stranger, in this context, to me is someone who isn't my boyfriend).  Smile

Having sex with random people can give you much worse things than headaches. So I'd rather resort to celebacy, to be honest.

YOU (GOOD) NEED SEX

I always place my little qualifyers, to clarify the meaning. Sex for sex's sake will not work in the long run. There is just no satisfaction to it. All the connections between the persons have to be there to make it right. This is one of the reasons I don't advocate teenage sex. If you start the wrong way, you get stuck with a crooked idea of what sex is, and what it should do for you and your partner. This is one reason why IMHO there are many older people with sexual hangups, they just don't know what to do.

To me, sex is like any other work in one way, you should always strive to make it better and more interesting. After 10 years of marriage I find it that we enjoy more now than when we were first married.

So I am glad to see you think about it the way you currently do. But once you are married for a while, you do still need it, or else YOU WILL GET HEADACHES.

While I certainly commend you for your commitment, I would give you good reasons why not necessarily waiting till marriage, and that is applicable to whomever your future partner is. I will use myself and my wife as example.

By the time we decided to get married, we had already 'played the field', and we KNEW that out of all our previous partners, each of us was the best that we had found. Therefore, the thought of 'is something better out there' has not crossed our minds.

And to prove my point, my sweetie did tell me that my services are required tonight. Well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
