I'm lucky. For once, I'm home, and off work. Boxing Day is also my birthday. Since this is my last Christmas and b-day here, I'm really looking to clean up this year.

They can make me work Christmas Eve. They can even make me work Christmas Day. But nobody dares make me work on Boxing Day. I have tickets to the next Evander Holyfield match that day and I couldn't afford to miss that  Wink

Last working day for me this year is 22nd Dec. Then I'm off until January 3rd. Big grin

I was originally supposed to work during christmas, but thanks to helpful co-workers I managed to get two weeks off.  Smile

Due to my four year contract...yep, all my college days at home will be spent working for our EMS. Can't wait to try our new ambu. though. Should be lots of fun, except for the cold and ice on the roads...and 7-7 shifts...oh well. It would be nice to have a break from work though. At least I'm not Thom@s stuck in Arctic conditions.  Wink

We may see some snow in march or something... if we're lucky.

I'm on call starting December 15th until March 31st 24/7, so if it decides to snow on Christmas, or Christmas Eve, or New Years or all of them, yes, I'll be the big blue light you see emerging from the snow pushing it all off to the side. So get out of my way if you see me closing in fast.

I'm a little bit lucky as I'm working up intill Friday 22nd and back to work on Wednesday 27th before getting time off again over new years as I'm driving upto AKL, might take January 3rd off also and use that day to drive back home. New Zealands public holidays are:

December 25th and 26th, January 1st and 2nd. Its good that this years public holidays are on working days

Alas, I'll be toiling away Christmas Eve and Night, 2300-0700 each night. I have a Christmas Eve tradition of locking-up some fecking doofus or another.

Stop! Stop! You're making me hate Prescott even more! (The whole reason I came to AZ was to get warm...that was a failure for sure.)

Ye heavens you're mincing my words, playing me like a fish as it were! I better get out of here fast before you convince people that I'm an eskimo who's been in cahoots with Jack Abramoff.  Wow! Actually, I got Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Sid Meier's Railroads!, Neverwinter Nights II, Medieval II Total War, and Star Wars Battlefront II today, so I'm going to stay busy with them. (More specifically, a new route from Cologne to Rotterdam is in order. Wish me luck!  Smile

I'm a lucky guy.

I'm off starting at noon on Dec 22/06 and return to the office on January 2/02.

The beauty of it is, i'm off for another week starting February 2 for a week and staying in MCO.

What a great way to break up a Canadian winter.

I'm off 22-26 December, otherwise, I'm on duty every day of the month . . .

$$$ in bank the way I see it . . . now if I could just control the weather  cry  - getting tired of -15F and snow . . . and it's only 12/5.

Was told to either use the 2 weeks of vacation time I've left for this year or loose them, so I've 2 weeks off  Smile
Wouldn't have minded working though, we cancelled all festivities due to my mother being in hospital still (and likely to remain so for several more months).

I finish work on the 22nd and don´t go back until the 28th. A good friend of mine is coming over to Spain for Christmas and is staying with me, so we will be rat-arsed all the time she is here.

I should go up there, I'd make more money plowing in Alaska than I will in Toronto.

Damn skippy, we got 18 inches last Friday/Saturday, and more on the way. About 4 feet total on the ground right now at work. ANC has less, but it's steady.

But the COLD is way too early this year. Gonna be one of "them years", too much snow and too cold.

I hate the cold, but, money is money, if I were to work up there I'd have to negotiate a by the hour wage. In Toronto I'm on call 24/7 but get paid for 45-48 hours a week, regardless of how much or little I work.

The only way I'd deal with that snow is if I got paid by the hour, because it sounds like your plows are pretty busy up there already.

I'll be working regular shifts throughout Christmas Week and New Year's Week. The only special days I get off are Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Other than that, it's working on Christmas Day, my Birthday which is just after Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Working flight 99 on 24/12 (HKG-EWR) and then on 25/12, I am working flight 98 (EWR-HKG).

Happy Xmas. If any of you are on either of these flights, come to the back galley and say hello to the 'big ugly bearded guy'.

See you then,

Cheers,
