Bipartisan US Panel Calls For New Approach To Iraq

Thu Dec 07, 2006 8:05 am

The sad thing is, that this is what the whole world was saying in 2002 before the misadventure began to wreak havoc on the world, the Iraqi people and the poor troops trying to serve there.

Whilst I'm not French and no country is blameless in this story, I can't help but see the irony in the majority of Americans being aligned now on all points with the original 2002 French arguments against this war in favour of leveraging all diplomatic and UN pressure, and at the same time their continued vague negativity toward 'France' for not "being their ally". Seriously, what is that about?
When all's said and done, there'll be more said than done.
