I can remember reading the booklets on how to survive a nuclear attack, and thinking, "We only live a mile from the flightline (this was a Canadian air base) so I'm not so sure this is gonna help". Ah, good times!! I especially liked the guy climbing into the "Atomic bomb protection box" or whatever that thing was. Good luck, pal!

I grew up ten miles from a missile complex. Mom and dad told us to go out in the front yard to play if we ever heard the air raid sirens going off.

Good ol' Weird Al...I still remember listening to this back when I was a kid after getting the record for Christmas. Awesome.

What a coincidence that you would post this. I was only one week off from "Christmas at Ground Zero" because last weekend I took my family on an outing to the site of the Project Gnome nuclear blast site!

I had forgotten about this song. Time to update my goofy Christmas songs CD.

I grew up across the river from Kennedy Space Center so we always knew we were a target. My parents always told me to go play in traffic whether there were air raid sirens or not.  Wink
