I will be buying myself a (late) Christmas present, and am looking at HD
gaming systems. I am not a die-hard gamer, but I do enjoy a couple of games and would probably use it every now and then. What I think I would use much more is the HD
capabilities to watch movies.
is a 60" HD
. I currently have a Samsung DVD player which upconverts standard DVD's to 1080I (not TRUE 1080, but much better than standard DVD resolution).
I was at Ovation a couple days ago (an upper-end audio/video store in my area), and saw a Blu-Ray demo on a 60" HD
screen - and it was jaw-dropping.
So my question is - do I buy a PS3, or an Xbox 360 and the HD
-DVD drive? Which is better - Blu-Ray or HD
While looking over the games at Best Buy, I noticed one PS3 game specifically said "True 1080P Resolution!!" on it (I think it was NBA 2007). Does that mean some PS3 games are NOT in "full 1080P"?
Right now I'm leaning towards the PS3, but I thought I'd get the opinions of some die-hard gamers / home theatre folks out there.
