it was 40 degrees celcius today in Melbourne, still hot at 11:17pm. To top it off, there have been major power outages caused by bushfires. Real fun driving home with the traffic lights out! There's talk of possible power restrictions.

Currently a brisk 32F in Anaheim CA. And don't think the natives aren't complaining. I do, however, feel sorry for anyone who came here on vacation expecting sunny skies and temps in the 70's or 80's.

Well when I left my house this morning near Baybridge airport (W29) in maryland it was 64 F @ 0600, when I got to work (KBWI) it was 41 F, turn on the t.v. at work and they say it is still in the sixties by my house...wtf...I guess being on the other side of the bay makes a big differnce sometimes. Anyways it is suppose to go down to 17 F tonight.

I wish the weather would just make its mind up, it has confused the hell out of the waterfowl...I cant believe its January and I'm still waking up to 2,000 geese honking.  confused

Tonight could get interesting as we are under and ice storm warning. Not too far to the northwest up by College Station (Texas A&M) they have already gotten some but we have lucked out so far as to be in a dry area in the precip pattern. Got some gas today and fired up the generator just to make sure all was in working order.
Warm winds blowing, heating blue skies, and a road that goes forever. I'm going to Texas!

We only got down to -15 F up here in Ortonville, MN last night.

You guys evidently have a snowpack to be that much lower than us. No snow here at all, have only had about 3 inches all winter and most of that came in October.

It's been a really lame winter around these parts.

Weather for Birmingham today has been fairly reasonable.

Max 8 degrees
Min 6 degrees

Light wind hasn't brought it down too much. Tomorrow is going to be about the same, if a little sunnier, which I am glad of because I'll be spending most of it at the bottom of a quarry in Dudley ... joy!  Yeah sure

Right now in Hamilton, Canada we are at -23C with the wind it feels like -30C. I took my dog out at 4:00 am this morning and I can tell you it was very cold, when you walk on the grass and hear the crunch of snow, you know it is -20 at least. Mind you I should not complain as this is the first taste of winter that we have had, only thing to do is to wear layers and layers. Hope this makes you feel warm
