First problem is that there are no 'nice neighborhoods' near MCO unless you are talking $500K+ (probably more).

If you are a normal working stiff, but in say managment, you will want to consider Oviedo. The houses are running in the $300's but the neighborhoods and schools are incredible and your a straight shot down the 417 (toll) to the airport. Now if you are a ramp rat or something along those lines there is not too much I can say, but try to find a place in Seminole County (near 436/Semoran. Sure it's a pain in the a$$ to schelp down to the airport on a regular road, but if you compare the crime rates, and the quality of schools Seminole County BURYS Orange County for quality of life.

I'm relocating back to the Orlando area in the summer (late July/early August time frame) when get out of the military. There are decent apartment complexes and condos all over, just depends on what you're wanting to get into.

As for houses, try the Waterford Lakes and Avalon area, or Oviedo as mentioned above.

Do you work for NK?

What do you do in at MCO?

The area directly north of MCO a couple miles isn't too bad. Not sure the prices of the houses in the Conway area, but the neighborhoods look pretty nice. Apartments range from the $600s-1000s along Highway 436 Semorran.
