Who Is Allowed To Sleep In Your Bed?

Tue Feb 20, 2007 11:15 am

I know, it's a stupid question and a stupid thread... anyway (I am drunk Big grin)...

...yesterday I was in discussion and somehow (  Wink ) I admit during the discussion that not everyone is welcome to sleep in my bed.

Don't get me wrong, everyone is welcome in my apartment, even overnight. I have a nice and comfy couch in the living room but that is all that I want to offer to (almost) everyone. Somehow I don't like it when people other than my girlfriend or my best friend are sleeping next to me in my bed. And yes, I noticed that I even took my latest one-night stands on the living-room couch and not in my bed.

Even a blonde super-model wouldn't make it in my bed as long as she isn't my girlfriend (or "upcoming girlfriend").

Am I "paranoid" when it comes to my bed and my bedroom as I was told yesterday? Who is allowed to sleep in your bed?

I don't really let any girl in my bed unless there are some intentions of having a good time. But if I'm not using it and someone needs it to crash in while I'm not around that's fine. I would wash the sheets afterwards, however, a major factor if you're allowed to sleep in my bed or not is the level of intoxication, if you're going to be sick I don't want you anywhere near my bed.

Well, if I am in the bed, just my girlfriend. If I am not in my bed, as long as it's a friend, I don't really care. Actually, one time, I was out of town, and I came back to find out my friends mom had slept in my bed. I was kind of pissed, she's pretty high on the MILF scale  Wink

At the moment I'm the only one welcome in my bed. Another person is not welcome unless invited by me. My bed is also an animal free zone (I don't have any and even if I did they wouldn't be welcome in my bed)

Just me. If I found anyone else in my bed, that means they broke into my house and that means I'd have to kill them.

Same here. I have no problem with people sitting on it though, but I usually put a bedspread over it so my sheets won't get dirty. Maybe I'd allow a friend in need to sleep in my bed, obviously when I'm not in it, but I'd too wash the sheets afterwards. Otherwise I could just about start wearing other people's clothes as well.

I'm not very good at sharing my bed. There are numerous reasons as to why. First, I like to move around in my sleep. Second, I tend to curl up in my blanket. And third, I snore so I'm always afraid I'll keep up my bed companion. As a matter a fact, I made the guy I'm "talking to" go home at 4am last night because of these reasons.

My husband wears earplugs for that reason. That and we both fall asleep rather quick is another bonus.

Pretty much any family member who comes to visit is allowed to sleep in my bed.

I have one of the most comfortable beds in the house and if they need a comfy bed they are more then welcome to sleep in it.

As for friends, only my close good friends are allowed in my bed, and I would find a couch or another bed if they need a comfortable bed.

As far as I know only 2 good friends have slept in my bed, me not in it.

As for girls, just my cousins wife, which really sounds bad lol.

Me, of course. If I invite the person, then obviously they can stay there. Good friends are allowed if I'm not there as long as they ask me first. I would also change the sheets. Just my 2 cents.

during the long, boring holidays in my first year at uni, we did manage to get four of us in my single, standard-issue 6' bed. that was pretty squeezed. plus another six people on the floor.

the next morning wasn't pleasant. to say the least.

To be honest, any female who is known to me can and has used my bed, I have often slept on the floor to allow a woman to enjoy the comfort of the bed. I have done this with ex girlfriends and female friends alike.

At this very moment I know my current girlfriend is in my bed at home.

Men on the other hand, not really, even my best friends, I would hesitate about letting them kip in my bed. Men generally have some kind of smell going on somewhere, and I don't fancy my nice pillow being skuzzed up by any bloke's sweat... I hear Coz though actually pays for that kind of experience...  Wink

The last time I let one of my friends sleep in my bed (whilst I slept on the floor), I washed the sheets afterwards. I don't know why but I felt like I had to, and I felt uncomfortable sleeping in it without having washed the sheets. Little strange but there you go.

Well, if I'm not there, friends would be welcome  Smile Apart from that, I usually have two dogs and a cat up there too... it's a single bed, so it gets pretty crowded... Big grin

I'm the nervous kind of person, bordering to neurotic- I have to be really, really, REALLY comfortable with and know someone pretty well (and trust them...) before I'll let them sleep anywhere near me- be it my own bed or anywhere else!  Silly

I think I've only shared a bed with 5 different people in total in my entire life. And no, not at the same time, nor has it included intimate relations (for the most part, that is)...  Silly My current bed has had no one in it apart from me and my pets (then again, it's only from december).  Smile

Not that I don't like a good cuddle and to sleep in someone's arms... I'd just have to get to know them pretty well first... Big grin

(PS: Atrude would be welcome at any time  mischievous  )

If I'm home, just me & my partner. Cats are allowed on the lower half, but not up by the head of the bead, and especially not on the pillows (I'm slightly allergic and I don't want cat hair in my face). If someone is house sitting, etc, they're welcome to use the bed. I'll leave it with clean sheets and change them before I use it again. I'm the same for using someone else's bed. I don't mind, as long as there are clean sheets on it. I've never been able to be comfortable in someone else's 'used' sheets, when meant back in my single days, one-night stands only occurred at my place, everybody else was just a wham-bam-thank you-man Big grin

I wouldn't kick out a super model. Even if she has no personality I'd do her just for the bragging rights.

I only slept in a bed once with a guy who wasn't my dad. 7 years ago I went on a snowmobile trip with my buddy Paul. After a hard day on the trail the hotel only had rooms with one bed. We took it anyway and we slept head to feet.
