A Plea To My Australian Friends

Wed Feb 21, 2007 12:16 am

Can you help us out here in the USA?

We've given you our C-17s. Can you hook us up with Tim Tams? They are near impossible to get here!

Wikipedia says that in North America, Tim Tams are called Arnotts.

That´s the company which produce Tim Tams. Here in Austria Tim Tams are really impossible to get, but my grandma send us some Tim Tams every months.

Exactly, ARnott's is the company...As Nestle or Kraft would be. But not the product.

Mario, you're in luck...being a Tim-Tam aficionado myself, I too have been on the quest to get them, and only within the last 2 weeks have made a startling discovery...

If there are any "Cost Plus World Market" stores near you...go there...they are sold there under the name "Arnott's Originals"...the packaging is the same as it would be in Australia for the packages of 11, except the Tim-Tam titles are replaced by "Arnott's Original"...at my local store here in Boulder, they can be found by the checkout stands...I had been going to the Cost Plus every 2-3 months to see if they had them in stock, but stupid me, I just looked in the food section, and when that search came up empty, I would always leave the store dejected...however, on my most recent visit, I happened to take a glance over by the cash registers, and there they were...they only had a limited selection of flavors though, not the many varieties that I remember down there...all I saw here was the original, double coat, and I think the last one was Caramel...not my beloved Classic Dark...

Also, I know you go overseas a lot, and the next time you should be in London, there is a store in Covent Garden called "The Australia Shop" that sells them...

Hope this helps!

Edit: If you go on the Cost Plus website, here is a link to them, plus a helpful pic to know what to look for...

Screw the F-22's. For the Tim Tams we want a few Nimitz's and some F-14's to go along with them.

Trust me guys. Its worth it.
