Hmmm... one with friends enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere would be the best.
As for the food, here's what I'd suggest:
crayfish soup, preferably with more solid than fluid
aubergine in beer batter, garnished with mozzarella, Parmesan and basil from that Italian place in my hometown - absolutely delicious, to be served warm
Saltimbocca alla Romana, with a good
helping of sage
Tomme de Savoie, Gruyère and ordinary Brie, the latter served with grapes
Panna Cotta with properly
glazed apples, I'll have to risk another attempt at those some time in the future!
Wine to accompany each of these, which I'd let my father choose as he would know better.
