Saw this at the motorshow, it is lovely.
Hoping my mum orders one when it comes to our nearest Fiat garage! Punto is growing old!

Thanks

Very beautiful car! From what I saw customers will have great freedom to personalize their own 500 (both exterior and interior). By the way, the new model will be officially launched the 4th of July, exaclty 50 years after Fiat presented the original 500.

Good job!

Whatever other problems they may have, Fiats don't suffer from a lack of style or good looks. It's almost as if Fiat is asking BMW "Is this what you meant to do with the new Mini?".  Wink

I could do without the white steering wheel, though.

That looks very cool; stylish and compact. Small engine size too, which is something I prefer, considering the smaller it is, the lower my insurance premium would be! The price is good too... I'm tempted!

Except the snag being that Fiat only intends to bring the higher spec more expensive models to the UK - to make it something more premium a la Mini. The cheaper models aren't likely to come over here by all accounts, as Fiat already feel that here in the UK the Panda has that covered.

That's a damn shame - the Panda isn't a touch on the looks of the new 500. I suppose they would try and make it nearly impossible to buy a right hand drive car on the continent and drive it over to England.

I'm sure you could do so in Holland. plenty have done that with other cars before....

well it is possible to drive around in the UK with a left hand drive car. Sometimes a bit unpractical, but when parking along the road you can get out onto the pedestrian's way directly without any loss of time !

Personally I don't like the design, but it's a matter of taste.

Good that Fiat, finally, started to reconsider its production: the latest Grande Punto and Bravo models are a big step forward, IMHO.

Looks like a really bad Frankenstein car. A little Dodge Neon. A little SmartCar. And a little BMW Mini.

How can it be a cinquecento, without a 500c engine? For you Americans, (if I did the conversion correctly), that is 67, 73, 99 and 94 horsepower. 8,800 Eur sounds interesting, but it seems that when these type of cars (Smart Car, Mini-Cooper) get to the US, they always end up being more expensive or almost expensive as full size cars such as Camry, Accord, Ford 500, Impala. I guess we'll never see these in the US, too bad, FIAT's are usually fun cars.

That's what it costs to make them safe.

Not to make them safe but rather adapt them to the US safety regulations.
