Tancredo & Thompson Are In

Mon Apr 02, 2007 2:28 am

Tom Tancredo who?

Tommy Thompson what?

Congressman Tom Tancredo R-Colorado will be announcing his intentions to become a Presidential candidate on Monday. His announcement will come from .... Des Moines, Iowa.

Former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson will announce his intentions on Wednesday. Announcements will come at 9 am in Milwaukee and then one at 12 pm in Clive, Iowa

Both ride along the Neo-Christian conservative lines, which while declining in popularity around the country, those who typically show up at the voting both tend to love their Jesus and like to keep voting for him in office.

The top three GOP candidates are McCain, Giuliani, and Romney ... out of those three Romney has more popularity but he has a strike against him because he's Mormom.

The Republican potty (as the Bostonians say) is quickly turning into a three ring circus. Who's next to pretend they can be president? I know! How about this guy?

Probably because he's too much of a pussy to announce from his home state. Smart move really, because aside from his district (which happens to be mine...I didn't vote for him I swear), he's not too well liked around these parts.

Yup. I figure the only reason he's in an office now is because his district includes Parker, Castle Rock, and Highlands Ranch, some harshly conservative areas.

Not surprised Tancredo isn't too well liked in Colorado, was he the guy who suggested bombing Mecca if the US were attacked again? CO seems a pretty 'purple' state. Tancredo would certainly add a bit of colour to the Republican debates. Their side seems to be very crowded, and there i was thinking the Dems had a lot of candidates! I keep hearing 'analysts' saying Giuliani wont be the nominee, but McCain is having a crap hole of a time lately and Romney can't seem to brake 10%. So if Giuliani isnt the guy who is the alternative? Or maybe he is the guy . . .

Boy this one is another longshot..no national following..my guess won't last until the end of this end, much less Iowa.

Yeah, I've actually never heard of him. Tancredo yes, but this Thompson...no. Although it seemed like he might be OK at first, he has some really radical ideas...and not the good type either. I'm not certain of it, but it looks like he may have been getting rich (or trying to) by using drug companies, such as Centene and the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions.

Anyway, strike him from the list for this neocon, he has the smell of a creep. A money grubber if you will.

Fred Thompson would still rock my socks off though.  bigthumbsup

Now if Fred Thompson joined the race, wonder if the Republican Florida voters would get confused between the two.  bomb

Dead man walking. I don't believe this Thompson would get much traction. The Fred Thompson people are gearing up for something. He's at 13 percent in the latest poll, and he's not even in the race.

Better than actually having 2 lawyers in the Whitehouse again, albeit, one of them was disbarred.

Yeah, that's the guy. Keep in mind that whenever I see his name on the ballot I always vote for the other guy, but he always seems to win...I hate my district.

Tom could win mine and Eric's district, maybe Colorado Springs, and thats about it. Of the break up of CO it's like this
1-Denver- Blue
2- Boulder- Blue
3- Western slope- Blue
4- Eastern plains- Purple but leaning Red
5- Colorado Springs- Red
6- South Denver suburbs- Red
7- Northern Denver suburbs- Purple leaning blue

Tancredo said he'd only run if the Republicans wouldn't "pick up" the immigration issue, something to keep in mind. I'm betting he's fearing the immigration debate will be lost in the Iraq debate. He won't get far.
