Wife And I Have A Houseguest!

Mon Apr 02, 2007 3:13 am

No, KROC is't making another tour stop out here. Yet..

I'm watching my moms cat, Shadow. (Actually she is my cat, but stayed with mom when I moved out)

Since mom and fam will be out of town, I figured I'd take her in for a while.

Here's shadow!

Bless her.

My cat wasn't happy this afternoon when my friend stopped by to visit on her horse. You should've seen the look on his face. Was kinda like bloody hell... what the hell is that kinda look!!!!

An absolutely lovely beast..
We had our "Chartreux" cat passing away with cancer three months ago..
it's a horrible event and my wife and myself took quite som time to get used to our life without our "King Farouk"..
I guess your guest will feel quite treated, considerig his master even puts his portrait on a.net...

I love my cat. I just wish I could keep here here full-time. Though I told my mom earlier that I may not be able to bring her back so easily..

She's lovely !!

When I looked at the thread title I though of the numourous houseguests that we have here - As in little fieldmice that I will be rescuing from under the TV stand, under the fishtank stand, cornered in the hallway etc...bought in by our three cats over the next several months !! Started this week - managed to catch two already and release them in to the garden !

By the look of Shadow I'd say she is a mouse catcher too !!

Shadow looks like a very cute little critter. Perhaps has some attitude to dish out from time to time too. Those kind of cats are the most amusing  Smile

This weekend, my two youngest cats brought me a gift - a live lizard that they had ganged up on and caught in the backyard. Of course I can't get mad - they are bringing me a gift - so I rewarded them with some cheese (they LOVE it), and decided to let the lizard back in to the sunshine.

A couple of hours later I looked outside on the patio and the cats were once again circling the poor little blighter. But this time he was fighting back...taking little leaps with his mouth open, whipping his tail around. I was very impressed. I went to his rescue and took him to the front where the cats couldn't get him.

Just thought I'd share this amusing feline tale.

I have several of those too including a sea of black feathers in the lounge ( dead blackbird behind the TV) and a live sparrow sitting on top of the Yukka plant in the hallway........whom eventually I caught and released much to the disgust of the three amigo's watching this !!

Yup the next look is the one they give just before bed....The " If you die in your sleep i am going to eat you" look....then they curl up and go to sleep...

GS
Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

Hehe.. When the cover of mom's fireplace came off and a couple birds got caught in it, let's just say you could not get Shadow away for anything. She was hoping they'd get out so she could pounce.

I don't think she's caught any mice tho..

And there I was assuming the houseguest in question was Aunt Scarlet.
