What? Most of the predictions I've seen/heard/read are positive about the Astros' prospects. They've either had 'em winning the division or coming in second. They lost alot, but I think they'll be OK.

The Mets stated off their season on a good note as they beat up my wife's Cardinals. Akways good too see. The consensus on the Mets is that either their hitting will carry them through, or their pitching will sink them like a patanted August tank job by the Red Sox. We'll see.

Some of the experts are expecting big things from the young Diamondbacks. Steady front line pitching from the starters, but no impact power players, so somewhere around 84-87 wins..

I'm going to the home opener here in MN for the Twins vs. Orioles game. Should be a good season in my opinion as they did quite well last season (especially at the end).

The Yankees won a back-and-forth home opener. A-rod homered and hustled his ass off, Jorge hit a homer too, and Mariano made the talented but inexperienced Tampa Bay hitters look foolish. A good start.

Which brings up my next point. The Red Sox, complete with loudmouth Neocon starting pitcher, got rocked by the juggernaut that is the Kansas City Royals. Oops!

NIce comeback win for the Braves today.

Renteria came up big, with 2 HR's. One in the 8th inning to tie it up, and then one in the 10th to ultimately win it.

Looks like "Lights On" Brad Lidge is back. All he had to do was get one more out, but he decided to make it interesting and coughed up a two-run shot to tie it up. Blown save in the season opener. Way to go Brad. Wish I'd ditched him in the A.net fantasy league like I started to do last week.  irked

I have high hopes for my Dodgers this year but hope something else can happen in game two tomorrow. And for KC, I hope this isnt the only win we get this week.

Well, I am one of the biggest Tiger Fans in that I loved them back in 2003....I know, crazy.

In a continuation of the WS last year, pitching messed it up again. Kenny Rogers is out till August and Bonderman had a horrible first inning.

On a brighter note...Welcome to Motown Gary Sheffield. He had a couple RBI's with sac flies. Great addition to the strong Tigers roster this year.

Robertson v. Burnett tomorrow. The Tigers have to go on a 10 game road swing after the series with the Jays, that SUCKS. Oh well, they are probably on TV.

Good luck with them. Rochester booted Baltimore a few years back. We were getting no talent at all. They didn't care about the team the way they should. Since then, Minnesota has been great. We don't have many power guys, but we have seen guys like Morneu, Mauer, Liriano, Kubel, Garza and others play here.

Lets see. The Mets went with New Orleans because their contract was up with Norfolk and Norfolk chose to end the affiliation and go with the Orioles. Philly left Scranton because they are going to move their triple A team to Allentown I believe as of next year. They went with Ottawa because Baltimore left them and when with Norfolk. I think Ottawa has a one year deal with Philly, then they might fold. Canadian Fans just don't care about the team. Since Scranton was open, the Yanks moved their operations there as its closer to the big city. And more about the Mets, since Norfolk dicked around for so long, then the Mets dicked around for so long, New Orleans was the only team left, so the Mets were stuck with them.

After watching the first three games of the Diamondbacks season vs. Colorado. Looks like the Diamondbacks need alot more spring training, can't run the bases, the defense went south, examples how not to play defense should be all over ESPN tonight.
