Oh yeah - I don't know about 100 year old, but 'normal' size Rock Fish (we called 'em Orange Snapper) are damn good. We'd catch them when we were halibut fishing, and I actually prefer them over halibut.

They're not much of a fight to land, just a dead weight from very deep. As they get closer to the surface, their eyes have a habit of popping out of their sockets though - change in pressure doesn't do them any favors in the beauty department! Big grin

It's just a rockfish

If you ever see fish labeled, "Snapper, Red Snapper" it is from the same family.

Size wise that is nothing, The record Halibut on rod and reel was a 459lb one caught off Dutch Harbor.

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Well that is one for the record books in terms of being old. It says her reproductive was potential, so maybe her kids are out there too.
