The Anti-Schalke 04 Thread!

Wed Apr 11, 2007 6:10 am

Guys, wouldn't that be a disaster if S04 became German Champion..??? Post all your anger against the Assi-Club here here...! Better Bremen, and even Stuttgart and "evener" BAyern! [And get Wolfsburg relegated..!]

Welcome back, Subin!

You know my opinion about Scheisse04, it would be a disaster when they would become Deutscher Meister. Even worse would be when the BVB and the VfL have to go to the 2nd League and Schalke becomes Deutscher Meister, when this is the case at the end of the season I will boycott Bundesliga! No joke!

My prediction however ist that Bremen becomes Meister and that Dortmund and Bochum will stay in the 1st League.

Welcome back!

If Bremen doesn't make it, then it should be Stuttgart or Bayern who wins the Meisterschaft. Hell, even my FC St. Pauli, or even our archrivals the HSV deserve the Salatschüssel more than Scheiße 04. S04's motto must remain: Nur gucken, nicht anfassen.

I'm confident that Asozial 04 will fail once more.

Looks like that just might happen. I am just glad HSV has gone on this little winning streak, thanks in part to my favorite player since Zidane's retirement, Mehdi Mahdavikia.

As far as Shalke goes, I actually really like some of their players, including the Altintop Twins, Kevin Kuranyi and Germany's future in goal, Manuel Neuer. While they aren't my first choice to win, any team other than Bayern is ok with me.

I have said it often before but I'll repeat it again, and I hope you'll all join in:
"S04, die Sche!ße vom Revier, Sche!ße vom Revier, Sche!ße vom Revier!
S04, die Sche!ße vom Revier, Sche!ße vom Revier, Sche!ße vom Revier!"
I hate Schlackski with a passion and would really puke my guts out if those f*ckers won the title. Heck, I would prefer Energie Cottbus as Champion over Schleimsche!ße 04, and that says alot. But thankfully, everything is still close, only 2 points between Schlacke and Werder, that's one point-losing game by Schlacke, and Werder is up front thanks to the many goals they've scored. Fingers are still crossed.

An ex-Bochumer. I was a big fan of him until he changed to the HSV.

Edit: I even met him personally, he was a patient in the emergency room of the hospital where I served my civil service. Of course he left a few grandstand tickets after I praised his performance from a week ago.  Wink

Haha, a good friend of mine in Germany is a big Schalke fan. I also have a friend there who is a Bremen fan. I am a Bayern fan, although I haven't really followed football for that long (I just moved to Austria about 2 months ago). We will all be together in May, so that should be interesting!  biggrin

No, it's a fact.  Wink Eventually it will happen, maybe not now but maybe later down the road.

BTW: we still have chances to get back to the zweite Liga, though I admit that my team screwed up big and we still have to do a lot to recover from that first half of the season, but we'll also make it, if not this year, then next year, as long as our guys come with a more humble mentality and take it one game at the time, not like at the beginning of the year. I do hope we'll make it back to the DFB-Cup first round and get drawn for another big game against a Bundesliga giant (I wouldn't mind if it's finally a Hamburg-Derby against the HSV).  Wink

Well, 14 draws isn't exactly the best way to stay in the erste, but they are performing down the stretch. Still, if they find someone to actually replace Van Buyten in defense, HSV will be back in the Champions League before St. Pauli are out of the Regionalliga. A full year of Frank Rost will help too.

Come on! Give us better odds.   I agree about van Buyten though, that guy can be a miracle worker, as he showed a week ago in Milan for Bayern. They may have one with van der Vaart, but having another versatile defender, who can also score, doesn't hurt. You just have to hope that this off-season won't be a total sellout like the last one. Selling all those players and buying people the way they did was one of the things that hurt them a lot, because it screwed them in terms of getting a team that knows to play together, and not be this group of strangers which Thomas Doll failed to integrate into a team.

Quoting N1120A (Reply 30):

True. Wächter and Kirschstein are probably a little too inexperienced. That's where Rost fills in with his years of Bundesliga and UEFA-Cup/Champions League.

And don't forget that with Huub Stevens, the HSV now has a coach with years of experience as a coach both in national leagues and in the UEFA-Cup/Champions League. I believe Doll also lacked that experience, at least as a coach.

EDIT: Typo

van der Vaart isn't exactly a defender, more of an offensive player who can turn back. I personally think they should move him back to the Left side and have Piotr Trochowski play between him and Mahdavikia, with de Jong playing the Viera role.

Quoting LTU932 (Reply 31):

Well, Mahdavikia can be that guy, but he is much more useful pushing forward on the right side. Picking up someone like Pander from Schalke would be ok if he could stay uninjured, otherwise, I think they need to go out on the market and pick up someone with a mean streak to protect Rost. Getting rid of both Van Buyten and Boularouz was incredibly stupid.

Quoting LTU932 (Reply 31):

I am thoroughly convinced that Stefan Waechter is not a first level Bundesliga quality keeper.
