Electrical Component Help

Sun Apr 15, 2007 3:37 pm

I am trying to find a supplier of flush mounted electrical and network sockets. My company uses an exhibition stand structure made by Octanorm and every time we have a show it is a major pain to run power and networking. I am looking for sockets that can be permanently mounted in the upright pillars to save time when we build the stand.

So, if anyone can point me at a supplier of such components I will be grateful. It doesn't matter which country's standard they are as long as they can handle 220VAC 15A and have an earth line.

Have you considered recessed ones, with a flap to cover them when not in use? Should be easy enough to find.

The problem is the size, the Octanorm columns are round, 120mm diameter, so I need something pretty small, about 30mm across maximum.

In NZ we have extension cords with round, rubber covered single socket outlets, they have ridges and such that you could easily cut a hole and mount one almost flush, then run the cable down the inside and out wherever the fancy takes you.
