High quality floating parquet. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time and money to reshape the concrete, so it moves a little here and there.

Hardwood, ceramic/porcelain tile, and carpet. Best guess is 700 sf hardwood, 850-900 tile, and 2000 carpet. If you count the front porch it's another 400 for tile.

I spend so much time working out of my truck I feel it is home. The floor changes quite a bit between concrete and asphalt.  Smile

As a Briton, I of course have carpet in the bathroom which means that it's best to sit down to piss after a skinful of lagers. Nice  yes

Had that at my old house, not very convenient!

I have a new house and it has about 1400 square feet of carpet and 400 square feet of sheet vinyl. It is a two story so I will keep the carpet on the second floor (all bedrooms) and replace the carpet on the first floor with hardwood and the vinyl with ceramic once I see the first sign of wear.

The reason we didn't do this right away is that we decided to upgrade the the things that are hard to change later, like whirlpool tub, full mirrors in each bathroom, better cabinets, above stove microwave, insulated garage door, bigger patio, better plumbing fixtures, stuff like that....it added up.

Hate carpet, but the stuff is brand new. I also hate the 12" square tile everyone uses. I plan on using 6 or 8 inch tile in the kitchen and breakfast nook and 4 inch in the bathrooms, much better look IMO. I am looking at the new Bruce floating real hardwood floor as I am on a concrete pad and the foam subsurface of the floating floor will provide a little cushion and insulation. Not crazy about the laminate 'hardwood' but it is easy to maintain, got it for my Moms house and it really does not feel or look like wood to me, but thats what she wanted.

Wood flooring downstairs, it is the prefinished engineered variety. Basically fancy plywood with a nice finished oak ply on the top.

Upstairs we have carpeting and all of the bathrooms are marble that I did myself. The next big project is to rip out the carpeting upstairs and replace it with wood flooring to match the downstairs.

I am thinking about doing the same, but I wonder what it will sound like on the first floor with womens high heels and clogs clacking around up there, not to mention 16 big ass claws on this guy. When he lays down upstairs now, with carpet, it sounds like someone dropped a bag of cement!

Ceramic tile in all the house...
Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

Solid Oak throughout the house, save for the Laundry Room which has ceramic tile.

My house has tile, a little hardwood, carpet and stone.

The living room is sunken, with tile around the front and one side, stone in the main part....

The kitchen has a neat tile pattern....

The den has stone, I put an area rug in front of that fireplace...

The dining room I use for storage, but it has this tile....

The balcony in the living room has kind of rustic hardwood...

Even the screen porch has tile....

The bedrooms are wall to wall, not much to see....

Hardwood in about 2/3 of the house, with ceramic tile in the bathrooms and linoleum in the kitchen. The studio in the back of the house uses its concrete foundation as a floor--we had it stained brick red when that part of the house was built, and it actually looks pretty nice. Mr. Diva also has an obsession with Oriental rugs, so we've got those throughout most of the house.

The basement is carpeted except for the washroom which is tiled.
The main floor is all tile except for the living room which has hardwood flooring
The upper floor is all carpet except for the bathrooms which are tiled.

Hardwood floors throughout, except the bathroom, which is tile.

I never had wood floors before moving in here, and never realized how much I'd like it  bouncy
