How do you even make grey icing? Nice cake though.

Happy Birthday!
Now in true a.net style, here's some questions about the cake aircraft:

1. When are winglets going to be installed?
2. What engine type are you going for RR engines or PW ones as they are much better?
3. I hate the single aisle config. of your cake aircraft. It makes flights uncomfortable?
4. What IFE does it have? Will any be installed?
5. When will the widget return to your cakes colour scheme?

Seriously though, thats a cool cake, and Id love a piece  Wink
Have a good one,

Kev.

I am very sure that when you put this plane into service, it will deteriorate very quickly from the inside.  Wink

From what I can tell, the entire cake is covered in fondant (based on the texture), and like with regular icing, the base color is white (because of sugar) and from there, any color one wishes to have can be accomplished with food coloring using various amounts of red, yellow and blue food coloring.

That's a sweet ride... .errr I mean cake!

When I was like 4 or 5, I got a train "cake" where the cars were made out of chocolate-frosted Twinkies and the wheels were Life Savers... I don't think I ever got a plane though.

You should've asked for an A380 and got it "double" sized Big grin

Thanks guys, winglets to be installed soon, engine choice RR of course. Widget will return very soon  Wink, no IFE as we're an LCC and the single aisle config can't be helped.

Thanks, DSA

Hey man, very cool cake! And that is one awesome family you have there.
I assume Fresh is a virtual airline?

Srbmod, you might enjoy this, we had a cake made for our wedding. The term fondant sounds familiar and I think they used some to create it.

That Concorde cake is great, Fresh Airways is an airline that I created with the intention to start it up as an airline in the future. Been working on a business plan and the like for quite a bit!

Thanks

Happy birthday and what a great cake.

However, don't really want to put a downer on you, but 'your' airline has about as much chance of flying as that cake does I'm afraid. Great to see you being entrepreneurial though, maybe set your sights a little lower to start with eh?

Boeing 737, judging from the fresh airways site  Silly

Heaps of people have done this and fly fully functional airlines today.  Smile I watched an english show about newly rich young people once, and one of these had his own airline. He started out just like DSA, and worked his way up. He was 17 years old, and his airline (don't remember the name... :/) still flies today- on a very small scale, but it flies.  Smile

His goals regarding destinations are very high and he probably should start on a smaller scale. But I can't see why his airline dream shouldn't come true- with enough determination and effort, I'm sure he can do it.

Happy birthday, btw, DSA! Awesome cake! Wish I could've had a piece! Big grin

Awesome cake, happy birthday dude.

I would definitely recommend getting a degree (in either business or finance) and an MBA in order to help get your airlines off the ground. Good luck. Remember, you can't fail if you don't give up.
