Why Is It So Rhaaaaingly Hot?

Mon Apr 23, 2007 7:32 pm

So we're still far away from summer and it appears we're hitting 27 degrees in France and 31/32 here in Tunisia !
Is it the case where you live ?

yeah, isnt it a great time for motorcyclists!
i remember riding in 2005 in the horrible rains that led to the flooding, from chamonix via frankfurt to cologne, took me 14 bloody hours.
not 2007, global warming works wonders! sunshine everywhere, at least motorcyclists can celebrate :P

37 degrees Celsius in Bangkok today, some parts of Thailand are expecting unusually hot temperatures of up to 42 Celsius tomorrow, followed by a warning for severe tropical storms.

Ah well, we´ll just blame it on global warming, no?

It's unseasonably cool/cold here in Oregon. I've the heat on right now, and still have the electric blanket turned on most nights. Got down to near freezing just the other night, and it'll only be 60F/15C here today.

The days are pretty warm here but the nights are still cold, we had only 4°C in the night from Friday to Saturday at around 3 AM... and I only wore a summer jacket.  cold

I can't wait for the summer!

It's been all over the place here in Hanover, NH. About 10 days ago, we had a snowstorm with about 6 inches of snow and a high of ~30 degrees, and today, it's sunny, warm, and 85! And then the rest of the week, it's going to be about 50. I've given up trying to figure out the weather - it's pointless.

We've been having near record warmth up here. Right now (9:30am) it's 37F(3C), and it's supposed to get up to 60-65F (15-18C). It's so warm, the *@#!% mosquitoes are already out! We usually don't have to worry about them until late May/early June!

People are enjoying this weather though...

14.2°C/57.6°F is 'normal' for the end of April here. Tomorrow promises us 22°C/72°F increasing to 25°C/77°F at the end of the week. And the nights are getting milder too.

This is great news for this weekend preceding the Queens' Day festivities next Monday. As a precaution I'll be taking 1st May off work.

Well, stereotypes are sometimes true. I was just eating some chocolate and reading about global warming in this thread. It has to stop, it all melted in my hand!!  Big grin
