What Does This Sign Mean?

Tue May 01, 2007 12:15 am

My guess: Watch for cropdusting aircraft with grappling hooks.

Could be advertising aircraft with trailing cable, or glider launchers with trailing cable.

Probably a bridge up ahead that isn't weight certified for Balrogs.

Possibly the correct answer, but I think that this one may be more correct:

And that's a shame too, as they're not seen too often these days. Of course, they need permits to operate on roads in North America now, so that may be a reason.  Big grin

Ah, both those responses provided me with good laughs. Maybe it'll make todays final's easier.

Take care,

My question is Why is it shaped like a STOP sign?????

The sign looks homemade to me so my guess would be that somebody took an old STOP sign and painted over it.

However, i bet this is actually illegal as I would assume that there is some regulation which states that only STOP signs can have that particular shape.

I believe you're correct. The same law applies to round railroad crossing signs, triangular yield signs, and pentagon school crossing signs. Informational and warning signs have to be square or rectangular. And color matters, too. Regulatory signs are white, advisory signs are yellow, and temporary signs are orange.

Noooo, they're just so rare, everyone wants one as a pet, and the meat they give is excellent when they're prepared correctly (you just can't beat those 5-star restaurants in the Iron Hills  yummy  ), and they're having a hard time reproducing... They've been scared into hiding - see the one that went to Moria.

Interesting sign. What's even more interesting, I was driving by Stanton Airfield on Saturday and there were gliders everywhere. If I had time, I would have stopped in. It looks fun, although a little scary  Wink

Only when you want it cooked more than medium- that's how cooked the meat is by the time it gets to the restaurant.
And I forgot to mention- Wizards are almost nowhere to be seen nowadays, and they're the only ones qualified by the Dept. of Labor to do the hunting. A lot of restaurants are hiring poachers- avoid those. You know that where the price is high, the meat is prepared right.

Apparently people have now begun to blend carjacking and hijacking. They are using aircraft to steal cars.
I lift things up and put them down.
