Question For The Brits - 80's Singers

Sat May 12, 2007 2:45 pm

I'm interested to know about the following singers. What happened to them? Are they still 'known' in the U.K.? Are they considered current, has-beens, or what? Do you like them?

1. Kate Bush

2. Jennifer Rush*

3. John Miles

4. Alison Moyet

* I just heard a few songs from her and was amazed at her voice. Gots to love a woman with a deep alto voice.  Smile

Kate bush had a new single out about 2 years ago, she does one every few years. She lives a very private life apparently.

I don't think Jennifer Rush has had a single out in a long time, nor Alison Moyet altough they both have some good ones out there.

Not got a clue who John Miles is though  Smile

Seems like British rock peaked in the 80's (although, what do I know - haven't listened to the stuff much in ages). I know Coldplay's around, but not really any female singers.

John Miles is known for his hit "music"

"music was my first lover, and it'll be my last..."

I don't think he ever scored another hit in Europe. We get to see him in Belgium every year during "the night of the proms" festival in Antwerp...
I love my Airport Job! :)
