Viagra Cures Jet Lag In Hamsters!

Wed May 23, 2007 4:49 am

We can all rest easy now. Scientists have discovered that Viagra cures jet lag in hamsters.

The researchers found that a single dose of sildenafil helped the animals adapt up to 50% faster than usual. They believe that because a one-off dose had this large an effect in hamsters, the drug might offer a simple way to combat jet lag in people.

Because we all know that hamsters are just like humans. ?

This research also provides a good excuse for taking the Viagra with you when you go on a business trip. " Well honey I need the Viagra for the jet lag" Big grin

I love William Saleton's (Slate.com) comment on it: "Another reason to wear loose-fitting pants on the plane. "

They where talking about this research on the radio this morning.

Apparently it only works on eastbound flights, On westbound flights...no go.

It does seem like there should be a joke in there somewhere.

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

Great news for the mile high club members, I suppose.... Not so good for flight attendants...

Now, I hope it'll facilitate jet-car driving as much as it does jet-lag curing...
I'll do my own airline. With Blackjack. And hookers. In fact, forget the airline.

Ok, as much as I admit that this is a funny story and all, but it seems pointless. How many hamsters are going to travel the world? There are more important things to try and be cured, like cancers and HIV etc etc. It seems pointless, just my  twocents
