That was a bona-fide mistake you cheeky git. I was a gnat's hair away from jumping in the car, but the 10hr, 600 mile round trip put me off. I am on airmiles as I type this.

I shall attened subject to college workload, although I'm sure I'll be able to manage a few hours at least.

Whats the plan going to be ?. Spending both days at LHR ?.

We could combine this with a side trip to Brooklands to have a look at the magnificent G-BBDG as it is only a few miles from LHR and maybe with enough advanced warning, and Lurch's contacts, we could even see if they would open up the VC-10 and some of the other a/c for us ????.

If so, we would need a list of who has cars and how many they can take.

You planning on going out on the Sat night ?.

Just checking miss brunkbirdie, thought some people might be going home for the night and I didn't want to get my glad rags out for no reason. Where do you suggest ?. I think Windsor is the best place that is close to LHR, or Central London, although I hear Staines has improved alot recently and now even has a lap dancing bar !! (actually we have never frequented Spearmint Rhino on an LHR meet !!).

Yeh Windsor is good.. but for you youngsters under 21, dont even think about entering with us oldsters as ID is required in most establishments!
As for lapdancing bar... I will go get slaughtered with you but you wont get me in one of those! But if you get me drunk enough, I will probably end up doing it for you instead! LOL

The Staines nightlife consists of the chav bar Cheekees, and 2 or 3 posh bars (like Town Hall). There isn't really much else there. Windsor is better, although as Speedbirdie says it's mostly over 21s at the weekend (as I experienced this weekend), even though it's student night on Thursday, and some of the bars open up to over 18s.

You never know, you might enjoy it, especially if there are Asian girls there  Wink. I'd gladly pay for you to get drunk enough to do it for us though. Just one question, Do I need to provide my own Kleenex ?. Big grin

Ah ha, but thats why I said I heard it had got better, not tried it myself yet though. Cheekees has closed down and is now the lapdancing place. There is a new nightclub called Diablo's, and it's located next door to Ha Ha's, on the road side rather than the riverside. Bar wise there is now a Que Pasa, Baroosh, Town Hall, Ha Ha's and another one I can't remember. There is always the good old George for a cheap pint or 3.

If you plan on visiting Brooklands on the weekend(Possibly that is) Saturday is normaly the best day to avoid crowds as most large events happen on Sundays at the museum.

Also most of the Big Air liners tend to be open on Saturdays and Most of the Delta Golf work crews are in on Saturday.

I may well be about on the Sunday we shall se what happens but Saturday ile be in the Museum!
