Fantasy Football (soccer) League -> Everyone Join!

Tue Jun 05, 2007 6:16 am

Hi all,

There's an A.net football (or soccer for you Americans) league active on www.xperteleven.com

There are already a large number of A.nutters active at the moment, but we are always seeking more members.
If you are interested, don't hesitate and join up! The league number is 48303.

You can either start out with a new team or take over an existing team.

As for the directions: Go to www.xperteleven.com, click 'search' and put in the league number and everything will show itself.

See you there!

*Posted on behalf of the entire league*

This league is fairly easy to play, especially in comparison to fantasy baseball, basketball, and hockey (Especially since this league doesn't involve real players that you don't have to keep track of their day to day stats). Two matches a week (Currently Tuesdays and Saturdays), so it doesn't really take up too much time. So if you think you don't have the time to fit this in, think again. In the time it takes to post in a couple of threads here (or read a few threads), you can put together your lineup for the next match.

If you're hesitant to join the league because you don't think you'd be any good at it, think again. The league champion in the most recent Division 1 season was a brand new member to the league. The division was up for grabs (four clubs vying for the title) until practically the last match of the season (Unlike the Premier League).

If you need any additional reasons to join, GKirk's team got relegated so you'd have to chance to beat up on his team....

Indeed, the New Orleans Magpies will be looking to recapture their former glory after two straight second place premier league finishes. The Xperteleven game is really easy to play and is addicting in a way that really doesn't take all that much of your time. 15-20 minutes a week could take care of even 5 teams.

We only need a couple more teams to get back to 10 teams in 3 divisions, so check the game out. It is a lot more fun that the other kinds of fantasy sports

Did you sign up for a membership? The only way to get the "search" button is to join and once you log in, on the left side of the main menu screen there's a list of options. Search is the fourth button down.

That explains it - I haven't joined, and I'm not sure I will: I'm afraid of not having enough time.

The most time I spend on X11 in a given day is 10 minutes, and I have 4 teams, so it really isn't a time commitment at all.

I think I'll have to wait at least till September though, as I'm theoretically going to prépahyper  ), and I want to see how much time I'll have on my hands then. Is there any specific time frame for joining?

Not really, though you wouldn't want to join after the season has started because it is a good month and a half or so until the next one will start and you can't start up in the middle of the season. Also, you wouldn't be able to play friendlies unless the team had a bye week. The best time to join is right before a new season is set to begin during the week or two break.

Not yet, but I am in the queue for the Golden League (They had the shortest queue of the English language leagues.).
