The Connecticut for Lieberman Chair, Dr. John Orman, called for Lieberman's resignation saying that he "crossed the line" and "no longer represents the views of the citizens of Connecticut."

Err, if he resigns from the party named after him the party is over. This makes no sense. If the party is named after you it is a given that you always represent the views of your party. To say otherwise would be schizophrenic.

I'd disagree here, but what should happen instead is that the residents of Connecticut who no longer agree with him should resign their affiliation (and not vote for him, if this is truly how they feel).

Hahaha. The best part's gonna be when the Connecticut for Lieberman party nominates a Lieberman critic.

If they no longer agree with him then they won't vote for him when he runs again. Done and done!
