Memorable/infamous Threads

Sun Jul 08, 2007 5:02 am

What are some of the most memorable or Infamous threads on Anet. I remember Flairport, the thread after 9/11, what are some other ones?

There was a Singapore Air trip report a couple of years back that was over the top. Something about testing the bathrooms and the superior quality of the sanitary products on board.

I think another infamous thread was the May 28 (I think) thread that Evan767 posted about wanting to bypass the security on MySpace to see people's profiles.

Copaair737 and a couple others gave the kid a hard time, but it was a memorable thread.

Yeah. He was freaking out to me over my private message system because he thought that the FBI would find him and have a chat with him.

Oh, and I may not have been here, but I went into the archives and read that one thread about what would happen if a 707 were to hit the World Trade Center. Quite chilling/memorable in your guys' history.

There have been some nutty threads on here over the years. The one where the guy asked what a snowglobe was was pretty funny too.

In commemoration of this thread, Thanks A.net - Gettin' Hitched (by CastleIsland Jun 30 2007 in Non Aviation) I give you this classic one from a few months back: LAS Meet # 8 The Search For CastleIsland's Yarbles (by AAFLT1871 Feb 28 2007 in Non Aviation)

Actually quite a few of the LAS Meet Threads (Both the 2006 and 2007 editions) have been entertaining. TheCoz asked in one thread prior to the first LAS Meet to take pictures of hookers....
