MLB Home Run Derby Thread

Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:12 am

Whie I'm still watching this year, this is getting more boring each year... People watch to see the best home run hitters slug it out, not see a bunch of scrubs and two or three 'stars' dominate. I hope Pujols or Guerrero leaves everyone in the dust.

Any bets on how many 'backs' Berman yells?

Vlad the Impaler earned his nickname in this year's contest. Too bad no lefties hit any fair balls into McCovey Cove.

I was on the Prince and Howard bandwagon..

I thought this could have been one of the most boring HR Derby's I've seen.

Hopefully the All Star Game will be a little more exciting.

Based on the way this season has played out, I see more of a pitcher's duel with a lot of singles.

Except, of course, for that 503' blast Vlad hit.

I was hoping it was going to hit the glove or Coke Bottle.

I did see Vlad live earlier this year vs the Mariners, great, great player...Just a little bitter toward him, as I am a TX Rangers fan-and he single handily whoops on the Rangers every single game.

Well, that is your issue. How can you expect a team that was once owned by GWB to win  Wink
