How long will this last? And who gets the credit for it? Someone from FoxNews (who, btw, is late in reporting this) says Condi gets a lot of credit for it.

I give a year until another scandal arises where we find out we've been screwed again by the "Dear Leader."

Besides the US negotiators, I think China in a way is gonna get some credit for it. They supposedly told NK to back down since pretty much NK's leaders depend on the Chinese

Thanks for stating the geopolitically obvious.

With all their degrees and years of experience, these diplomats running the North Korea fiasco sure are getting played. I think most people who are abreast on this issue think it will be a matter of time before North Korea does another missile test. Lil' Kim may be a crazy debauching SOB, but he's not stupid. He will never use any of his nuclear arms if he knows what's good for him... or even better yet, if China knows what's good for them. The last thing China will allow is for a nuclear scuffle between NK and the free world to halt the billions of tons of crap leaving their factories to the west. Secondly, I think Mr. Kim is just a power hungry despot who'd rather stay in power and be a big man in is country than be dragged out to The Hague for war crimes. IMHO, all these nuclear ambitions are just diplomatic bargaining chips to get more humanitarian aid (which incidentally probably goes to his palace and then to the military).
