Another 'What Are You Listening To?' Thread...

Wed Aug 08, 2007 8:09 am

Well, it's fairly self explanatory; What are you listening to? We haven't had one of these threads now for a good while, so I thought it was time to change that!

I'm currently listening to;

'Show Me The Way' by the Liechtenstein band Elis

Unfortunately this song isn't on YouTube, but many others are. They're one of the groups I would have loved to see in concert, however tragically their lead singer Sabine Dunser died just over a year ago, she was only 29  Sad

Next up will be;

'Energize Me Now' by the Dutch band After Forever

Long live symphonic rock Big grin

What are others listening to? Post away!

Now, by the time I found the song on Youtube without some crappy 9/11 conspiracy attached, this song came on:

Ornament/The Last Wrong by Oceansize. Holy crap this is a great song.

On Now: "When You Sleep", My Bloody Valentine
On Last: "Jumper", Third Eye Blind (Haven't heard that one in ages, LOL'd when it came on)

What I'm listening to now is an interesting mix of choral/classical, electronic, and rock from a UK band called Globus. If the background music sounds familiar, that's because Globus was founded by Immediate Music, an LA company that produces just about all the movie trailer music you've ever heard. Every track on Globus's album is based on an existing Immediate Music track - all they do is add vocals and drums as needed.

"Orchard of Mines" by Globus

Currently I'm listening to Waiting For A Call by The Bee Team. It doesn't have a YouTube video, so here's a link to their Myspace page.

For the past two days, all I've been listening to is a very loud belt sander that is being used to remove paint and varnish from the cedar doors of my office...and has no melody whatsoever! I can't hear the phone; I can't hear when someone is standing right in front of my desk talking to me.....so trying to listen to music is totally out of the question at the moment!!!

When the ringing in my ears subsides (hopefully soon) I'll let you know what music I'm listening to....

Punkrocker by Teddybears featuring Iggy Pop. Next up is Cobrastyle by Teddybears feat. Mad Cobra. I am seriously addicted to the entire album. It helps that the first time I heard the song was at Hard Rock Cairo, I had just finished my fourth double shot of vodka, and when I looked up and saw the video it just seemed like the coolest thing ever. Half the table started watching the video after I shouted, "Holy shit, there are people dressed in suits wearing bear masks running around Times Square!"

After that it goes to Weezer followed by Bonnie Tyler.
