The best are half.com or amazon.com. Some of my friends have recommended abebooks.com, but I have never tried them. I bought all my books for this semester off half.com and amazon.com this past week. I saved a bundle! I also sold a few on half.com for amounts that would never be matched by the school bookstore.

School bookstores can seriously make you bend over and grab your ankles. That's why I will endorse this statement 100%:

Best of luck, have a good quarter/semester!

I got lots of mine used on amazon. Dirt cheap. Don't pay your university anymore money for books unless you absolutly have to buy the book from them. I know that some study guides can only be purchased through the university but concerning the main course books the university will jack up the price even on the "used " ones they are selling. Only use the university bookstore as a last option. Buy used and put the saved $$$ toward something else

eBay is the route to go. All you need are ISBN numbers from the books you need, just enter them into the search function in eBayu. I've gotten all my books this year for easily half of what it would cost at any bookstore. And at the end, I just put them all back on eBay and get the money back out.

nuff said, you might want to try Craigslist.com, but only deal locally. I got a 150 dollar art book for 35 bucks, and Im gonna sell it for 80, so I'm actually making money by buying college books. Amazon is your next best option. College bookstores piss me off.

Damn I hate college bookstores, and the worst thing is if you sell your book back to them, they will accept it for about 25% of the market price, and then sell it for 75% of the original price, what a bunch of thiefs. I have taken about 15 classes and I have had to purchase only 1 book from the bookstore because it was not available online since the instructor wrote the book, but I ended up selling it for 90% of the bookstore price. I really hate to lose money by buying books.
