Need Help Finding Congress Vote Counts

Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:40 am

I've been looking for close to an hour, and I can't find anything on the vote totals for these two acts:

Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967.

Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972.

Can anybody lead me in the right direction for finding this information out?

Thanks

Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967:
Senate: the measure was passed by voice vote on Nov. 6, 1967, where only 5 Senators were present on the floor. There was no opposition to the bill. (Wall Street Journal, Nov. 7, 1967, pg. 2).
House: passed 343-13 (Washington Post, Dec. 5, 1967, pg. A9).

The Equal Opportunity Employment Act of 1972:
Senate: passed 73-16 (Washington Post, Feb. 23, 1972, pg. A1)
House: passed 202-197 (Washington Post, Sept. 17, 1971, pg. A17).

Hope that helps.  Smile
