Compress Large Videos For YouTube

Mon Sep 10, 2007 6:34 am

Hello All!

A quick question for ya...I am working with a PC without any video editing software, and I am trying to compress my 7/8/07 Boeing flyby videos down to size (from about 135-150MB to under 100 MB). I do not want to pay for anything. Does anyone know any good freeware that would help me do this? It will make for some good videos I can share with everyone. Thanks!

PS-My videos are .mov files, which I believe play in Quicktime.

I can't help with the software side, however have you not considered uploading to google videos instead.
Its a similar service, however supports unlimited file size, so no need for compression.

Hope this helps a bit.

Kev.

(p.s don;t forget to post a link when you do upload them)

I already have a youtube account established, and I would like to put them there if possible. If I have exhausted all other options, I will throw them up on video.google.com. Anyone else have advice? Thanks!

Windows movie maker that comes with XP/Vista can do the trick.
