Maybe the actual election but the period leading up to it was very violent, particularly if you were in any way related to any of the candidates.
The election itself was quite peaceful... hopefully it will stay that way until the second round.

While I'm not fond of either of the candidates and I'm afraid we'll be royally screwed up for the next 4 years no matter which one is elected
, thankfully neither of them is a leftist. In fact, none of the candidates de izquierda
reached a significant amount of votes.
