The waterpark will stay open, but the theme park is dead. No news yet on the fate of the coasters...

I hate to see any amusement park close.... I went there when I was about 7 yrs old.. IIRC, wasn't there a sea world by there then??

There's a big thread going on about it over at Opshots. I only went there twice, but it was after all, the first large park I ever went to...tells you about Cedar Point's business strategy.

What a shame.
CO had it's company picnic there a couple of times before 9/11 and it was always fun. If you wanted to go to a smaller park without the lines that Cedar Point offered it was a good place to go. The great days were when Sea World was on one side of the lake and the amusement park on the other. So for those on the east side of
CLE it's Cedar Point or where? Is there an amusement park anywhere near
PIT?
