Polishing The Funeral Shoes Again

Mon Oct 08, 2007 4:07 am

Seems that another canadian Mountie has been killed. Now I am again prepairing to go to another funeral and polishing my shoes.

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/10/06/rcmp-injured.html

The News that another cop has been killed has become an almost daily feature in my in box. No so much in Canada but when it does hit here it seems to hit harder and is closer to home.

Odd how my family was scared for me becasue i am in the big city...yet here in Canada in the last few years it is Rural cops getting killed...

Rest easy Constable Worden. We will now take care of your family

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

Sad Sad news. May he RIP, and thoughts with his family at this time. Please stay safe, and thanks to you for doing a thankless job. All the best.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Far too many brave men and women lose their lives keeping peace and order in society.

An interesting and respectful way to put this. Never heard it that way before.

I'm sorry, Greasy.

I have a dear friend who is a cop and I know one day it could be him. You guys put your lives on the line every day.
But that was when I ruled the world

My aunt is in the RCMP, and my uncle in the OPP. Both have been in (numerous) life threatening situations while on duty, so this death hits close to home for them and myself as well.

My thoughts are with his family. RIP.
