Your Current Cologne

Thu Oct 11, 2007 12:39 pm

Just curious as to what kind of cologne you currently wear? I have 4 in rotation at the moment: Coastal Wings, Nautica Voyage, Hugo Boss, and my fav, Versace Man.

Armani Code (for public appearances & job interviews)

Héritage by Guerlain (for the ladies)

plus a wide variety of scents for everyday use. I like to vary.

A&F
Gucci Rush
Boss Hugo Boss
DKNY Be Delicious
Armani Black Code
Diesel Plus Plus
A&F Ezra Fitch
Issey Miyake Summer '05
Hugo Boss Hugo

Half of these, I don't even use and regret purchasing. Yet they all have a time and purpose. It depends on my mood and my BO.

I went to Sephora like a couple of weeks ago, in over a year and I found that there's been great bottles produced this past year.

Gucci Pour Homme II

IMO the most original, best smelling cologne I have smelled to date. Here is the description from the Gucci website: "men's 'pour homme II' woody spicy fragrance. top note of violet leaves. heart notes of cinnamon and pimento. base note of tobacco leaves."

Ditto.... don't need some musky smelling crap. I figure if you follow accepted hygiene practices, like showering and washing your hands, you don't need that stuff. I'd rather smell clean, than reek of cologne.

Plus my girlfriend loves the way I smell w/o any cologne.

True, but... if you do wear cologne, it is should only be a small teaser of scent that can only be detected by someone within intimate distance. Unfortunately, all too many folks spray, splash, bathe in it so that the scent is completely overpowering, and leaves a trail halfway down the street. That's just wrong. I don't want to smell what someone else is wearing, and they shouldn't smell what I'm wearing, unless we're close enough for a kiss.

Maybe you're lucky, but I'm a cleanliness freak and I never feel 100% fresh and clean without a discreet, sophisticated scent.

Also, you only "reek" of cologne if you put on too much or if it's low quality. Look how many of us like Armani. Try it once and your gf will never again have to lie about loving your BO.

I used to have Eternity from Calvin Klein. Lately I am addicted to "Bernini Beverly Hills Men". It's kind of difficult to get, since there are not many Bernini stores (LHR, MIA, LAS, LAX, DTW a.o.) and is not sold in stores like Sephora or department stores. I've been to Bernini stores several times and the clothes they sell are really ugly and the staff is the rudest I've met, the only good thing is the eau de toilette.

Realm by Erox with phermones. I used this exclusevly in my bachelor days and no other scent compares to this. I was tipped off by a friend a long time ago that he used this stuff and had women asking him what kind of cologne he was wearing.

I still have a 1/2 bottle left after 7 yrs since I bought a new one but since I've been married I obviously dont use much cologne as I used to. But for you single guys it's worth every penny of the $60.00.

Using the correct spelling that nobody on here seems to know  Wink, Acqua Di Gio by Armani, almost every day. Occasionally, I'll use Armani Code, or my all-time favorite, Black by Kenneth Cole. I absolutely love Black, and will be using that daily again once my Gio is gone.

Exactly! If you can smell my cologne, you're too damn close!  Wink

I have weird body chemistry that makes most colognes smell like only their strongest base components on me before they disappear entirely after a half hour or less. The only one I've found that lasts for any length of time AND smells like it's supposed to is Minotaure by Paloma Picasso.
