Parking In Central London.

Mon Oct 15, 2007 7:11 pm

Going to the Theatre tomorrow in Soho, usually park in the multi-storey in China Town but we're going in a van. Anyone know of where I can park as it won't fit in a Multi-Storey!!!

Thanks!!

I parked at that Chinatown car park on Saturday and true it would be a very tight squeeze in a van. Street parking FREE after 6.30pm.

I always use Chinatown, but a van would never fit in there, tight enough in a car!!

err, good luck if you're planning on leaving the van anywhere near that!

seriously, catch the train from a nearby town and save yourself the bother...

Been there, done that, in a Ford Transit!

It's actually not that bad. It's a lot easier to drive a van in central London than it is a car (done both within a few days) - people get out of your way when you're in a van! Just stick your foot down and go, that's how the Londoners drive and you'll fit right in, honest! People will move out of your way.

With regards to parking, there is an underground car park at London Wall, which isn't too far from Soho. The one thing you will find is it's extortionately expensive. It cost me £8 to park for two hours at this car park. But parking is not as bad as people make out!

Cheers
Noel
