Any Mobile Phone Experts?

Mon Oct 15, 2007 9:33 pm

Right...
So I have a Sony Ericsson W850...
Up until now it's been ok, but today, it's just went mad.
It takes pictures by itself when I turn the damn thing on  Yeah sure
It makes beeping noises when I try to turn it off...
I try to enter a text message in, I get put through to the camera again, where it continues to take photos at good knows what speed  Yeah sure
I try to get to the settings page, I get through to the messages section, before it goes to, yep, the camera again.

Have e-mailed my service provided, 02, to see if they'll send me a new phone to replace this one, just waiting to hear back from them.

Anyone else had a phone with this kind of fault?

Rhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like my old SE K800i.
It flipped out for a while, I did a reset it was fine, then one day before I went SFO, it died. Took it to an O2 shop and they sent it off for repair, ad it came back perfectly fine. Sold it to my mate when I upgraded, and the problems have started to return.

I have an unused SE W600i and it worked perfectly for the two years I had it on contract from Cingular.. I hear that Sony Ericssons are pretty well made....

Get a new phone, one based on GSM technology, preferably.

I used to be until I was fired by a leading cellphone manufacturer for programming too many bugs in my MMI software.

I once had a Nokia, which turned off automatically, every time, I tried to send a message, or tried to make a call, and also, every time I received messages or calls. I went to my provider (T-mobile), they sent it to service. It came back and worked perfect for 2 days, then the whole shit started again. Now I have a Sony Ericsson K610i, which is ok.

The girl is only going to buy that story the first time she catches you taking pictures of her under the table.
Things were better when it was two guys in a dorm room.
