Your Favorite Halloween Candy

Thu Oct 25, 2007 6:09 pm

Ok, I'll admit it...I'm a 51-year old child. I LOVE Candy Corn...can't get enough of it, at least for about a week. then I eat too much of it and end up saying I'll never touch the stuff again....until next year.

So...what's YOUR favorite Halloween candy?

The pumpkins made out of the same stuff as candy corn are pretty good, but my absolute favorite are the Tootsie Roll Frooties, especially the vanilla and the cherry ones. I remember about 10 years back the grocery store I worked at over ordered Halloween candy, so they had a lot of candy left so it got marked down. I got a few bags of the Child's Play mix for a few dollars, mainly for the Frooties and the Tootsie Pops.

Same here.
Hint: the best time to purchase some is the day AFTER Halloween, when everything goes on clearance sale. Big grin

Last year, I saw $2 bags of candy sold for $0.50 in early November.

Add me to the list of candy corn addicts. Pure corn syrup and red dye #2, what could be better?

My favorites are Tootsie Rolls and Tootsie Roll lollipops. Followed by the Hersey's mini assortments.

Wow. I thought I was the only strange one that liked candy corn. I up for anything fruity and chewy, like gummy bears/worms, saltwater taffy, starbursts. Not so much chocolaty. But if it has caramel, that's always awesome.

I'll go for anythng from Starbursts to M&Ms EXCEPT Almond Joy, and a few other things that I can't think of right now.

I guess we poor people have poor ways: My favorite Halloween candy is the cheap peanut butter taffy that comes wrapped in unmarked black and orange wax paper.
