After finding myself unexpectedly with a full day to spare on my most recent business trip to Southern California, I decided to take the Pacific Surfliner Amtrak passenger train out of Union Station in Los Angeles and check out the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
What a magnificent display of the lifelong achievements of this distinguished late President. No doubt, one of the most influential world leaders of the previous century. And not just one of the 43, but a true statesman... the type that only comes around every several decades.
But even if your political persuasion gets in the way of standing in awe of his transcendent legacy, just the chance to see and tour the retired VC137C in all its original livery and glory has got to be worth the visit.
Anyone else been there recently, and if so what are your thoughts on the various exhibits?
