Political Contributions By Candidate/Zip Code

Fri Nov 02, 2007 10:30 pm

This map will help bring some accuracy to discussions about which candidates different populations are supporting money-wise.

For instance, Democrats are raking in more money from Georgia donors than the Repubs are, with Edwards leading all other candidates in rural MIddle Georgia in terms of money raised. Looking at Georgia's statewide totals, Obama leads.

for the 92373, Romney seems to have the largest donations, not surprising, there is a noticeable Mormon pop. here

McCain seems to be doing the best within the GOP
Obama and Hillary are doing allright here as well.

The Washington Post.com has a great database as well. You can search by zip code and even last name.

It's on the bottom on this page: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2...8-presidential-candidates/finance/

For full disclosure, I do intern there.
