Phoenix UFO Lights Getting More Credible

Fri Nov 09, 2007 8:32 pm

Former AZ governor really getting serious about this stuff...

http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science...simington.ufocommentary/index.html

I always get so confused by this Phoenix Lights stuff. How could military flairs falling behind the Estrella Mountains 30 miles to the southwest of Phoenix be confused with a big black “V” coming in from the north over the Squaw Peak area? Isn’t all this footage indeed the military flairs, and there is nothing showing what these people think is the real UFO? Are people like Symington saying the media footage is in fact what they saw? If so, then they really are crazy.

Credible and Symington shouldn't be allowed in the same sentence. In case you forgot, he had to resign from the Governor position due to a federal fraud conviction (latter pardon by Clinton), facts that came out in that trial was that Symington was nothing more than a con man which was supported by his record as governor. Guess he must have a book coming out..

Weren't the PHX lights already dismissed as flares? It's the silent and large 1000-foot flying wing wandering the mid-eastern part of the state that I found facinating.

Allright lemme ask a "weird" question. Why is that a lot of people are convinced and are narrow-minded when talking about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Juding by the fact that the Earth is essentially an insignificant part of the Galaxy which is an insignificant part of the Universe, to put in a more wordly term "we're a grain of sand in the Desert". Isnt the possibility of life in one planet is a distant Galaxy not possible? or are people just ambivalent to acknowledge the possiblity of life based on no concrete evidence to lead that way? Judging by the expanse of the Universe, I think it is quite a good assumption to speculate that life may exist on another planet millions of light years away? and No I dont believe in UFO or Roswell.

hahaha, damn I'm a hypocrite  banghead . Well, I think we all need a little bit of concrete evidence, I guess I answered myself. BTW, I think if one looks at the size of the Galaxies and the Universe, we realize how insignificant we're and how the "World's end" wouldnt really mean much in terms of the Galaxy or the Universe.

UFO is Unidentified Flying Object.
They don't have to be coming from outer space. They can be man made objects that we don't recognize as such.
I see many "UFOs" unidentified flying objects. Some are very bright at times. I don't think they are from outer space.
I think the air force might be testing some secret equipment at times without us knowing about it.
There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde

It isn't really a question of being narrow-minded, and certainly not when it comes to the question of the existence of extra-terrestrial life itself. But when it comes to the issue of mysterious lights being either flares, aircraft, weather balloons or little green men from outer space who just happen to be spending a hell of a lot of time visiting backwaters of the US....Occam's Razor gives us the answer.

yes, I know wrong choice of words, I'd say a question of substantial evidence to suggest otherwise

yeah, that logic came back to haunt me. I guess I'm just a little bit more aware of the magnitude of the Universe, but Like everyone else I need more concrete evidence, instead of conspiracy theories. I dont believe for one second of those who claim to have encountered Aliens, it just doesnt make sense.

Here is where I get pounded (and not in a good way ) for my admittance to this and may lose credibility with others (I am good with it, if it comes to that). I saw what I saw.

I live in PHX and saw the lights. I was travelling down the Squaw Peak (AZ 51). We actually pulled over on the shoulder to get a better view, they were that out of the ordinary. These lights were not in the area of a normal arrival or departure path for Sky Harbor. The notion that they were flares is in dispute. Flares dissipate and change in intensity and altitude. These did not.

For those here who did not see them personally, to say otherwise and tell me different, all I can say is you were not there.

The news here went wild with stories and did possible explanations for them. 'Experts' tried to explain the lights, much to the denial of most. It still didn't offer why and/or how they did what they did.

Personally, I do not think we are alone. To think so is extremely egocentric. The universe is too big, too unexplored to know for certain otherwise.

As for Symington, he is not exactly the pillar of integrity or honesty. I'd rather rely on the accounts from the thousands of others who saw them that night. He now comes out to talk about it. 10 years later. Give me a break.
