For each word you get right, they donate 10 grains of rice.

the FreeRice site seems like a joke. (10 grains of rice???)

But then it does link to what appears to be the legitimate World Food Programme site. I should ask the folks at CARE about this.

I've just given 1000 grains.

Ill do that whenever I get bored, a little amounts up to a lot over time.

It is a fab site... I haven't been on it in about a week... but a few friends and I sat in computing one day and between us donated about 4000 grains of rice... Oh the things one can do when bored...
Not only does it make you feel smart [boosting self-esteem] but it feeds the hungry and you feel so much better when you can give something like that  Smile
