I am currently in San Juan on a layover and felt what clearly was an earthquake. I started feeling this rolling motion, not shaking, and I instantly thought it was an earthquake. Low and behold, about 20 minutes later on CNN they were reporting an earthquake epicentered off the northwest coast of Martinique. Martinique is about 400 miles southeast of San Juan.
It appears there is no damage at Lamentin International Airport since Eagle had an ATR enroute to FDF at the time and it has since landed at FDF, deplaned, loaded up more pax and is now enroute back to SJU
. I've been trying to access Martinique's website, in particular the airport's page, but the server is not available. Perhaps this has something to do with the earthquake.
Here's more info from BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7120018.stm
This is FDF's website, but it hasn't been working: http://www.martinique.cci.fr/
