Why Is Cair Allowed To Operate?

Tue Dec 04, 2007 8:29 pm

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59026

When some of your directors have proven ties to terrorism, others are linked to terrorist activities, funding, etc, I have to ask the obvious question...

Why is CAIR even allowed to operate in the United States? They should all be locked down, the entire organization should be entire a massive Federal investigation and expose them for who they are. Advocate membership organization my ass.

Because it would take for CAIR to announce their allegiance to terrorism before the US would shut down an organisation like CAIR. Otherwise, it would be considered racism by the ACLU and a bunch of other civil rights groups if we did. We can only prosecute/reign in/deport the individuals proven to be engaged in terrorist activities. Guilty by association takes a truckload more evidence than just a few bad apples.

Incorrect....go after them hard. Bring the full weight of the Justice Department down on them including RICO. You CAN in fact nuke an organization. Time to quit pussyfooting around.

What people are failing to understand here is that these are TERRORISTS IN OUR MIDST allowed to operate, recruit, fund raise, communicate and coordinate under the very blanket of liberty they exploit. Time to go after them. Goodbye CAIR.

It is better to watch an organization then to "nuke it" and lose valuable info.
It's not a near miss it's a near hit!!

And you guys are treating WorldNetDaily as if it's a credible news source?

I need to see something from AP, AFP, Reuters, or one of the major newspapers before this 'story' could even be considered remotely credible.

Right....because none of those outlets ever have an agenda.  sarcastic

Why not be like the esteemed user YAK42 and add RTE to your list of approved sources of information. According to him if it isn't in there it never happened. Good to see you're blind and unwilling to even consider various opinions and sources that might not coincide with yours.

Cfalk- You da man.

Nothing like facts verified through the government itself to shut some agenda-driven people up.

The real question you should ask yourself Siren, is why aren't the other alphabet news agencies reporting this?

Hmmm?

We've got plenty of coverage about Britney, the a third of the headlines on CNN.com right now at this very moment are pop culture related or otherwise NON-news of any importance, yet something like this is almost summarily ignored.

The lens from which you look is askew.

It isn't a mainstream source. AP & Reuters - give me a break. They're serious news organizations that report... news. Agendas? I know AFP leans 'liberal'. Washington Post leans conservative. NY Times leans liberal. LA Times leans liberal. Nonetheless, they are all credible news organizations with many years of reputation and accurate reporting to back them up. There is no such track record of World Net Daily. It has the same level of credibility as Jeff Gannon. Soon as there's some credibility to back it up, I can consider it a serious news source.

As it stands, their lead article is "Homosexodus! Students fleeing forced 'gay' agenda"... it is not a news organization. I think attacking the credibility of this 'news' organization cuts to the very heart of the issue.

CAIR actually stands for "Council of Angry Islamic Radicals"

You might ask somebody in authority why they, on the basis of heaps of information, have NOT acted in accordance with your desire. They may have some very sound and good arguments.

Well, either because it's better to foment fearmongering among the sheeple, or there's a shitload of money in it, or as someone postulated above, tis better to know your enemy and observe them knowing where they are then stomp them away and NOT know where they are or what they do.

I can see the logic in that.

But terror is terror. Shut them down, kick them out, arrest, and go on a rampage against all assets, known connections, and keep going.

Except that the DOJ release, from nearly 4 years ago, says nothing about CAIR and the rest of your "sources" are all from noted anti-Islam sources. Daniel Pipes and Steven Emerson are not credible sources.

Here is an actual, credible source

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/14/wa...661&ex=1331524800&pagewanted=print

Here is a source from a site I will agree has a slant, but that provides some interesting info on Steven Emerson

http://usa.mediamonitors.net/content/view/full/42070

Meanwhile, Daniel Pipes advocates for the support of terrorist organizations like the Mujahadeen-e Khalq and founded Campus Watch, which tries to intimidate professors into changing their classes to reflect his bias.

Deflect all you want, split hairs as you choose. Facts remain. CAIR is in bed with terrorism.

I never said they weren't. To be honest I don't usually peruse their information but for Siren to be so biased and one-sided that he/she won't even consider anything that comes from them shows their intellectual level to be quite low.

And CNN has on their main page this hot item on Jennifer Love Hewitt not being a fat ass.
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/sho...7/12/05/hammer.jennifer.fights.cnn

The LA Times' Most Viewed article today is apparently a great piece on some rapper named Pimp C and how he was found dead in a motel on the Sunset Strip.
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...,0,2891660.story?track=mostviewed-

And the main story right now on The Washington Post website is a fluff piece on the "love song" of Dennis Kucinich which is just something I'm sure we are all just dying to know due to oaucity of Britney coverage today.
