I love the slogan from DHL Worldwide Express and Logistics, but of course I'm biased

Customer service is back in shipping!

All time favorite is the DuPont marketing slogan from the 1970's -

Back in my TV days, some would say "It's a Sony, no baloney".
Sony actually pioneered the "Hi-8" video format and CCD cameras for broadcast applications.

You're just pissed off at Sony because they never embraced the 8-Track format!  Wink

Sony makes fantastic electronics. Never had a single problem with any of their problems - and I own a Vaio, Bravia, Playstation, CyberShot, Handycam, headphones, and various other computer related electronics. They may not be the best in certain categories due to the fact competitors specialize in those products (Nikon and Canon for example), but almost every product they make is solid. I would never use mid to low end to describe Sony.

The local DHL station in Rhode Island is a total joke. Countless times I've had to drive down there to pick up packages that were never put on the truck to be delivered, or the driver said he couldn't find the box in the truck. FedEx puts them to shame.

Why these big corporations (ie Dell) utilize DHL for some time-sensitive consumer shipments is beyond me... just to save pennies?

Yeah, especially in the broadcast world, Sony is a force to be recconed with (also the pioneer of the BetaCam, Beta SP, DigiBeta and related tape formats that have served and continue to serve as a defacto standard for broadcast-grade video tape). I'd describe some of their consumer products "overpriced" but never low-end (middle of the road, yes); their topend consumer and professional/broadcast stuff, on the other hand, is nearly untouchable
