Nope...as of now, my friends ditched me to do other things and break plans that we had for weeks, so as it looks right now, I'm stuck here at home with the boring and idiotic parents (yes, I really do HATE my parents), lousy excuses for mutts, and worst of all NO BOOZE.

Not out of it, but a little weary! Just got back from a house party starving, so rustled up some pies and peanut butter on toast in the oven... mmm, what a lovely way to start sobering up!

Just giving you guys and gals a nice anecdote to start the new year,

Tonight at 12 while celebrating new year I saw one of the regulars in our Pub kissing his equally drunk girlfriend, all went fine until he suddenly had to throw up IN HER MOUTH while Frenching her.

I must say 2008 begins very promising so far

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY !!!

just one more beer then crawl into bed.

I've only had two beers so far, but that's all I need to feel a little drowsy. I could drink more, but don't want to risk it.

I'm staying sober for the rest of the night. All I've drunk is a glass of champagne that was pretty much flat. Besides, what's the point for me to get drunk with my only my parents present. I would have gotten drunk if there were guests here for a shindig or if I was alone tonight, but new year's here is always too damn solemn here.

Happy new year from SYQ!

Happy New Year everyone!

It is 1pm on Jan 1st here and I am having a glass of sparkling wine (not allowed to call it Champagne... damned anal French). Last night went to our local pub, had a few scotch and water and some bubbly at midnight but didn't get drunk, was in bed by 2:30am.

The first "job" I ever had was going to bars on New Years Eve in January 1976 with my best bud Todd and driving drunks home. How would I know what bars to go to??? Our local Police in Auburn CA would tell me! (my Dad played golf with the Chief of Police and knew every Cop in town!) We would go up to the bartenders and cocktail waitresses and they would point out who needed driving home the worst. Then we would get their keys and drive them home in their own cars with Todd following. Once home, if no one was there, I'd hide their keys, get their phone number and call them LATE the next day and tell them where I had hidden them. Damn, we made some serious bucks. We did it all through High School on most weekends.  dollarsign  dollarsign  dollarsign

The party continues! I cannot understand why some people dislike NYE so much: it's one of the best, if not THE best nights of the year.

The night started-off with two mates in what was a last-minute table booking and after much searching we found what must have been the last table in the city. After a great dinner and, of course, champagne, two of us headed round to the biggest gay bar in the city. It could have been better, but there was a nice buzz. We baled-out and headed round to one of the biggest straight clubs. It's gone downhill slightly, but there was still a great atmosphere. We rung-in 2008 there, and around one headed back to the gay club. Needless to say, we had had copious amounts of alcohol, and when we left to go to another gay club I did the obligatory puking my guts up, three times, on hitting fresh air.

We spent the rest of the night there, and I scored with a bit of rough who had had a row with his girlfriend and decided to try something different for the night. He wasn't the handsomest, but very sexy in a rough sort of way. He's just left and his phone is still off, so he's gonna be in the shit BIG time by the time he gets home.

I did get sloshed last night - actually I was at a dress-up cocktail party for a change, which is a nice change from recent years of high-school parties and then last year in Times Square. I was finally at the age to go to a classy party!

But no, I do not remember going to bed last night.

Oh yes. NYE was quite the night. I could get totally shittered because I had to be up early to catch a bus back home from Montreal but I certainly had enough to wake up with a nasty headache that only three Advil could take care of.

We started the evening upon arrival at our hotel at around 5p with a bottle of cheap bubbly picked up at the SAQ (Quebec liquor stores). It was actually pretty decent and after a few glasses on an empty stomach I head an ever-so-slightly noticeable buzz. After that it was off to dinner then back to the hotel room where the vodka started flowing. Then off to Unity, one of the largest gay bars in Montreal where after finding out that doubles cost $12 the hard way (actually having to cough up $12 for a drink) I switched to beer and got right drunk. Afterwards, my friends and I walked up the street, got some cheap pizza, went back to the hotel, gorged on some Doritos (Stephen Colbert would've been proud) and then promptly passed out.

All in all, a great way to start the new year.
