Having Trouble Setting Up Apple Airport Express

Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:48 pm

I just recently bought an airport express from the apple store near my house. I inserted the CD into my computer to set it up and selected my hard disk as the location to install the software. I get a red exclamation point saying that I can't install this software on my hard disk.

My parents bought a legitimate copy of leopard with their computer....i installed it on my computer also with their disk. Would I not be able to install the airport express software because of this?

You shouldn't need to install anything. Airport is on the computer. If you've updated your programs recently, you may have a newer version on your computer.

Plug the express in, hook up your broadband and follow the instructions.

Macnn.com might be more helpful for specific Mac q's.

You're not using a dinosaur PC anymore. No need to install anything. Just plug in the airport extreme and it works.
I bought a Venus Fly Trap today and was going to name it "Republican" but the fly trap is beneficial to the environment.

No, he hasn't; And no, I know little about the Airport Express base stations.

Swiftski should have it right.
