Germany & Blackberry Help

Wed Jan 30, 2008 7:33 am

Hi. I will be working at a firm in Germany this summer and I am thinking about what to do with my blackberry, whether to keep my US plan and use an international add on, or... just get a German Blackberry plan.

I went to Vodafone, T-Mobile and E-plus and I found no 'useful' information.

Maybe its because I am unfamiliar with their terminology, and because in America I dont have to worry about the megabytes or contract commitments for my blackberry.

I have had very bad experiences before dealing with German Cellphone companies (namely Vodafone's Callya program).

Can some german users who know about cell rate plans or own blackberries please help me figure out?
1. if I can get a data plan on my blackberry without a 24 month contract?
2. if so, how much would it cost me a month? would I need a voiceplan?
3. how much would the data restriction be? only email? or web and email?

Thank you,

Guillermo

It would help if you listed what model Blackberry you have and with what service provider?

I have a 8700g. But it doesnt matter, does it? The phone is unlocked so I could use it on any network in Germany.
